Celebrate your event, Mad River Glen Style!! The Stark’s Pub is available year-round for holiday parties, rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, family gatherings, social events, special occasions or business functions. Or, we have an off-premise liquor license so we can bring General Stark’s Pub to you!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

How much does it cost to rent Mad River Glen?

To rent out Mad River Glen is a flat rate of $200 per hour.

What is our occupancy?

The Basebox can hold 300 but this number varies a bit depending on what type of function you are having and if there is a band, buffet tables, tent, etc.  General Stark’s Pub can hold 150 for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres and 90 for a plated dinner.

Can the Single Chair be used for events?

The use of the single chair is what makes Mad River Glen extra special and it can be used throughout the year!  There are many logistics to this and if you are interested in this option please call or email so we may go over all of the details.

Do you cater?

Yes, we have trained chefs who can work with you on a variety of options.  Below are some sample menus and we can also order your favorite Vermont brew and wine upon request.

In House Catering
We can accommodate your dinning needs from breakfast to brunch, lunch to dinner and appetizers in-between. Menus are custom made for the event and can vary from a casual tasty BBQ buffet, a Station Party, a Light Lunch or a Continental Breakfast.

BB-Q
Slow cooked pork finished with a tangy BB-Q sauce and grilled marinated chicken
Roasted red potato salad finished with tarragon, blue cheese dressing
Home made corn bread
Maple, cider coleslaw
Seasonal vegetables (corn on the cob)
House salad with balsamic dressing
Freshly baked maple walnut cookies and fresh fruit
Includes coffee, tea and a barrel of soda and water
($19.00 plus tax and gratuity)

Station Party
Station I: Local cheese and charcuterie board served with fruit and crustinis
Station II: Vermont potato chowder and a salad display with our house balsamic and ranch dressings served with a basket of Breads and Spreads
Station III: Carving station with a roasted dry rub brisket and a Roasted turkey breast stuffed with cranberries, chevre, roasted garlic and baby spinach served with a variety of sauces
Station IV: Grilled seasonal vegetables and a local scallop potato and cheddar casserole
Station V: Coffee, Tea and a barrel of sodas and water served with a variety of fresh baked cookies and fresh fruit
($27.00 plus tax and gratuity)

Continental Breakfast
Local bagels with a variety of cream cheese spreads
Fresh muffins, cinnamon rolls and banana walnut bread
House made granola, Cabot yogurt and fresh fruit
Coffee, Tea, Orange juice and water
($8.00 plus tax and gratuity)

Light Lunch
House salad served with our balsamic and ranch dressings
Our homemade beef stew served with local bread and butter
Thin crust pizza served with a variety of toppings
Freshly baked cookies and fresh fruit
A barrel of sodas and water
($12.00 plus tax and gratuity)

All Food and Beverage is subject to 18% service charge and Vermont State Tax.  Prices are subject to change with availability.

May we bring our own liquor?

No, our license does not allow patrons to bring in their own liquor.  However, General Stark’s bar is a full bar with specialty wines and local micro-brews, including Lawson’s Finest by our own Sean Lawson!  We can also order your favorite wine upon request.

Do you work with outside caterers?

Yes, you may bring in an outside caterer.  There is a kitchen fee of $250 and a $250 Cleaning Fee will be assessed if the kitchen space used is not left in the condition in which it was rented.

May we have a Potluck?

Yes, again a kitchen fee of $250 will apply.

Do you have a sound system?

We have a system in the bar to set up your ipod and a new outdoor sound system on the Single Chair.
